Pyramid Prep in Class

Pam's Group Classes

Pam Johnson has been teaching breath centered yoga for more than 30 years.

Her focus remains on the ancient study of texts, application of the breath and the interconnectedness of the full human potential through ART, subtle sensory perceptions, and the ultimate cultivating of the essence of prana, our life force. The threads of the teachings of yoga are in the web of the practice, re-spun through our veins and our keen attention to our breath.

About Pam's Classes

The study of Yoga is extremely vast; Pam’s classes explore the many avenues of ancient yoga, therapeutic philosophical and meditative practices. These classes feature very slow controlled and contemplative movements that aim at understanding and cultivating the storage of prana in the body/mind complex. Students learn to breathe and move precisely to long, smooth, even inhalations/exhalations. (Ujjayi) You will explore basic postures, like twists to cleanse organs, inversions for the heart and brain, weight-bearing postures for the bones, and pranayama for energy and meditation to calm the nervous system. With masterful warm-ups and asana sequencing aided by plenty of props, Pam breaks the asanas down to best accommodate your needs. With continuous practice, Pam’s classes aid the student in reaching their maximum potential in both mind, body, breath, and consciousness.

Emphasis is on understanding specific breathing techniques, finding alignment for pranic flow, and uncovering the essence of Yoga.
